Hydrodynamics

This didn't take as long as I thought it would, the actual rigging was the most work. Well, choosing which picture to upload was... The capturing was fairly painless thanks to the help of a friend of mine, who kindly "voulenteered" to do the drop dropping for me.

I've always thought it odd that we seem to be more attracted to slightly blue than clear water. Anyway, this is tap water with blue food colouring in it, with a drop of red foodcolouring being dropped from approximately half a metre. It's captured right after impact, at it's highest point during it's bounce back up due to the surface tension.

Many don't even realize that water does this every single time a drop of water hits the surface. I find its behaviour very facinating though.
